More than 70 per cent of the Earth’s surface is covered by the world’s oceans, which are not only a vital part of the ecosystem, but also a source of enormous untapped economic and environmental opportunities. The Blue Economy represents a forward-looking approach to sustainable economic development in which investment in ocean and climate solutions is a top priority.
