A Journey of Strength: From the Corporate Ladder to Brain Health Advocate
May 26, 2025
As we celebrate International Women’s Day, we honor the journey of a woman who redefined success, overcame adversity, and is now empowering others.
Mantazh Khanna – Brain Health Expert – PhD (cand.) isn’t just an expert in brain health and leadership resilience—she’s lived it. A cancer survivor and caregiver to a parent with Parkinson’s, Mantazh understands firsthand the hidden toll of stress, burnout, and chronic illness. Her personal battles led her to uncover a powerful truth: mental well-being is the foundation of sustained success.
Rising to the Top, Only to Reevaluate Everything
Ambitious from a young age, Mantazh thrived on intellectual challenges and breaking barriers. She earned a coveted spot at Harvard Business School, securing an MBA that catapulted her into leadership roles at global corporations like American Express and Microsoft.
For two decades, she climbed the corporate ladder, proving her strategic acumen and leadership skills at every step. She had it all—executive titles, industry respect, and a thriving personal life. But beneath the surface, stress was building, unnoticed and unchecked.
Then, Mantazh was diagnosed with Lymphatic cancer. The news shattered her world. Once consumed by boardrooms and bottom lines, her days were now filled with hospital visits, grueling treatments, and the fight for survival.
It was during this period that she had an epiphany—her mental state directly impacted her recovery. Anxiety and fear were just as debilitating as the disease itself. Healing wasn’t just about medicine; it was about mastering the mind.
Mantazh emerged stronger, returning to the corporate world with renewed grit and perspective. But the real turning point came when her mother underwent brain surgery for Parkinson’s. Witnessing her mother’s struggles ignited a deeper mission—to understand how the mind influences the body and how we can protect our mental resilience before it’s too late.
From Budgets to Brainwaves: A New Calling
Determined to bridge science, health, and leadership, Mantazh made the decision to leave the corporate world and pursue a PhD in brain health and mindfulness.
Once deeply immersed in corporate strategy and execution, Mantazh found herself now immersed in neuroscience, psychology, and mindfulness. But instead of leaving behind her business expertise, she merged the two worlds—taking complex scientific insights and translating them into practical, high-impact strategies for leaders.
The Silent Crisis Among High-Performers
Today, mental health is one of the greatest challenges in leadership. Anxiety and burnout don’t just affect employees—they plague executives, founders, and family business owners at the highest levels.
Mantazh has seen it firsthand: leaders who seem invincible on the outside but are silently battling stress, decision fatigue, and emotional isolation. The ultra-wealthy and high-achieving face a unique paradox—they have access to every resource but often lack the tools to manage their own mental well-being.
She is trying to change that narrative.
A Science-Backed Approach to Resilient Leadership
Through her work, Mantazh helps leaders future-proof their mental resilience by blending: ✔ Cutting-edge neuroscience – Understanding how the brain works under pressure ✔ Wearable neurotechnology – Measuring focus, stress, and recovery in real time ✔ Ancient mindfulness practices – Applying proven techniques from monks and gurus
Her work isn’t just theoretical—it’s backed by data, lived experience, and real-world applications.

Redefining Leadership for the Next Generation
As Asia’s next generation of wealth owners and business leaders steps up, they face intense pressures—intergenerational conflicts, corporate succession stress, and relentless public scrutiny. Without strong mental resilience, even the most brilliant leaders can crack under the weight of expectation.
Mantazh provides support to powerful and influential individuals as they try to overcome these challenges successfully and continue on their quest to shape the economic future of the region and contribute to social impact and sustainability, ultimately to change people’s lives for the better.
